What qualities make for a successful creative team? A creative leader? A creative individual who solves unique problems, launches businesses, paints a master piece, hits a home run at the annual school fundraising event?
What is creativity? How do you know who’s creative and who’s not? How do you know “good” when you see it?
I’ve many clients who could respond incredibly eloquently to these questions (these people are truly some of the most creative and collaborative human beings I’ve had the honor of knowing.) And just recently, it’s occurred to me on an even deeper level just how much creativity plays into everything…I mean everything…we do. Regardless of the organizations we work in, the businesses we lead, the “art” we engage in…
Without our creativity, we are stuck. Our spirit is trapped. Life is..muted.
Creativity literally makes the world go round.
This post begins a series of at least 3 articles on creativity and the human and business spirit. This one is about you. The next one will be about teams. And the final will be about the creative spirit of business. (Unless of course, I get a creative wave of intuition and change my mind.) All of these will be about having a conversation and sharing insights on how to access our best flow state. And of course, yes, being that it’s me, we’ll be working from the inside out. Which means first we start with…you.
